Dashboard-wide Variable Filters

Would be cool to have variables in a dashboard where all the reports in that dashboard would filter off of. For example I have a website with auctions and like to keep track of auction page views, sale catalog views, and other views. Each auction has its own id that I can filter it. That way I could make a dashboard and filter all the reports from one place.
